It owns two world-renowned brands: POLAR and MOHR. Approximately 500 employees work at the two production locations of Hofheim (Frankfurt area) and Shanghai (China).Polar Postpress Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as PPM) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Polar group which was established in 2005. Located in Shanghai Qingpu Industrial Park Shengli Road 1098 lane 198.

PPM's products range from touch-screen controlled, automatically programmed, high-speed  cutters, format from 560mm to 1370mm. Three-sided book cutting machine; And loader, unloader, automatic pile-turning machine, paper lifter and other supporting equipment.

In February, 2023, SOL Capital Management joins POLAR as an investor. This was accompanied by a change of company. The activities of Adolf Mohr Maschinenfabrik GmbH & CO KG are taken over by POLAR Cutting Technologies GmbH.
